Last week saw the team travel to the Ole Frank, which can certainly be a potential banana skin match. 4 - 0 in the doubles last week saw the captain with no hesitation in selecting the same pairings. How he was repaid by a very professional performance from the players, sealing yet another 4 - 0 victory in the doubles. A notable 180 from Eddy (The Natural) in his doubles match helped to seal the 4 - 0 victory, but it was the first pairing that grabbed all the applause! Alan (Dunston) and Adam (Shrek) recorded a 140, 115 and 110 finish on their way to victory throwing only 18 darts! Well done lads. The skipper kept the ball rolling with a fine victory over Shaun Wilson, followed by a 16 dart game from Danny(Bardy) recording a 101 start, 140 and a 137. The natural was up next, and prior to the match didn't shut up about being the player to seal the victory against the homeguard by notching up the 7 leg! Well he got his chance again this week and guess what. . . . . . failed to rise to the challenge, well done Ed! Next up was me (Linx) to seal the match. Thankful that we were short of players this week (as I'd lost three matches on the trot) I was given another life line. The game wasn't pretty, but I managed to finish the job off and give the team victory. Singles match no. 5 was the match that everyone was talking about afterwards or should I say snoring about???? Kelvin (Moley) was keen to make amends for his defeat to Nigel Knights and get back to winning ways but failed in his attempts, and there were a few! I have tried my best to work out Kelvin's average per dart which I have calculated as follows:
Length of singles match 20 mins
A throw every 25 seconds
Throw length reduced by half for amount of darts thrown at double one
501 - double one = 499 / [1200 seconds / (25 sec / 2) = 5.1979 / 3 darts = 1.73 ave per dart!
(Even Bar-Man Chris (Twitch) Read could average more than this!)

A defeat followed for Adam (Shrek) and also Paul (Hud) before Alan (Dunston) finished the night off with a victory, and a final result of 8 - 4. My special thanks to the kitchen staff at the Ole Frank for the the food! A generous bucket of scampi, cauldron of chicken curry and a crate of chips! That's all I managed to get for myself anyway!!!!!
Happy Darting
