I know what you're all thinking . . . . . .
1/ Thank god Linx is back on the Blog!
2/ What happened in the second episode of the fantasy facebook wedding?
3/ What happened in the final episode of Gavin and Stacey?
Darts this week saw us hosting the Hearts of Oak (Old Tramways).
With a taxi at 20:15 I managed to get to darts in time to steal someone's place in the singles!
It seemed that my appearance was not that welcomed when you saw me playing in the first doubles with Bardy (Dan) as I was absolutely toilet! Bardy was excellent with 140 and 137 back to back before I sneaked in the double to go 1 - 0. Now I can have my second pint to calm the shakes!
After my game I tried to help out the Skip (Craig) by filling in the card! First name down on the card in the wrong order made the skip write out a new card!!! - Smasher George also made a hash of the book when he used it as a beer mat and saturated a whole page!
Other doubles matches followed before we sealed a 3 - 1 lead going into the singles.
Singles matches on the whole were very good this week. Solid performances from Cobby (me), Bardy, Sheepy (Spence) and Smasher and decent matches from Serious 121, 140 and Liquids (Kelvin) 125, 135, 139 before taking out a 17 dart leg (missed a 14 darter). That now makes it two 30 ave's jellied in a week, when young Liquids managed a MOM for the Norfolk County side with a 28+ ave. Well done me ole mucker!
Losers in the singles were Dunston (Al) and Weekend (Paul). Weekend was obviously the most unluckiest player in the world again this week or was it that his facebook status had changed to . . . . "In Love" !
Final result was a very respectable 9 - 3. Keep this going lads!
OTHER NEWS
a) The final episode of Gavin and Stacey was not shown on TV as there was a writers strike so the stars of the show parted company!
b) Wedding plans are no closer this week for the face book pairing. Lets hope for mine, Fluffs and Weekends sake he decides to come to darts and not go to a party in Caister or were getting home on our own!!!
They did enjoy the OCS gig we went to on Monday. I sang every song really badly and made a fantastic impression on Lauren. Especially on the way home when I slated most of the music on her Ipod! Lets just Hope Gottsy final cooks you a decent meal rather than his takeaways!
c) Home team perogative so the liar dice were out! Can only remember getting to the final with Weekend and he managed some ridiculous hand (Like he did all night) to kipper me up in the final! He did give me my pound back for the second game. Not sure who won the second game or whether I was already talking about the second game. We had a good laugh though!
Single doubles and trebles have now been drawn (by Fluffy) and will be played off in the coming weeks. Good luck guys!
